Rock sliders/ Sill protectors help

Got to ask the question, probebly going to sound stoopid but,
Do the brackets wrap 3/4 of the way round the chassis, and bolt through the top:eek:,

Very good looking job though, just interested for meself:thumb2
 
meatball, yes they do, i didnt want to weld them directly to the chassis as i suspect i may have to re-plate the sills this year so will need to remove the bars to do this.
Also i didnt really want to start drilling holes in the chassis either, so this was probably the best alternative to the others.

I had some of these on a Suzuki Sj i had years ago and they saved the sills from taking a bashing on many occasion, it would be easier to replace the bars rather than a bent sill....

the rock/tree sliders are if you get a bit too close to trees or rocks. Just helps that little bit more. Also protects the sills a bit too.

The slider will take the brunt and help keep your bodywork away from it.

As for synthetic winch rope, have a look on the devon4x4 forums. someone usually selling new stuff they didn't end up using.
