Girlfriends car has just been packed and sent her on her way to her moms house as her brother is home for Xmas and she'll be spending the day there, I'll be meeting up with her later.

I'm off to my Nan's later, but want to get the interior bits back into the car first so going to get cracking soon.

Merry Christmas all!
Spent all morning cleaning house (had my 3y old cousin over yesterday, great fun!). Now a quick wash, and then the parents come for dinner.

As they stay overnight, probably tomorrow morning I'll try some duck shooting with my father. Nothing better to clear the party cobwebs in the head

Bit of a Dampener this year

Well a couple of days before Christmas the Wife was struck down with the Norovirus probably caught it at work as she is a part time Doctors Receptionist.

This is on top of a chest infection that she has had for about a fortnight that gives her heavy bouts of coughing especially at night thus I have had broken sleep to keep her company.
Her GP got a blood test done and said it's a virus not Bronchitis so antibiotics not suitable.

I have been doing the Santa Present runs and cancelled most of our planned visits and outings with friends. We are due out for lunch with a group of friends today but that's probably not going to happen but we have paid upfront so we might give it a go as the venue is quite close to home.

Oh dear that's bad news, hope she feels better soon and you stay clear of it.

Spent Christmas day at the in-laws,had a lovely dinner but was hard as to keep the spirits up with my wife and mother in law with the recent loss of her eldest son.
Me and my 11 year daughter kept them entertained with a couple of games of catchphrase And family fortunes board games.
I'm not bored,just enjoying the break and the choice to do as much or little as possible.:thumb2

Oh nice, I like it around there it's on some d of e routes so love it.

Just spent the afternoon in a & e, wife had a hidden injury from the car accident. So she has an injury to both feet now, so another sick note next week for her the poor lass. She's getting really fed up not getting out and about walking the dogs and things.

It was a hell of an incident, so hope she gets back to driving, and keeps her confidence.

Cheers guys, she's ok in herself other than being bored of these four walls. There is a technical name for it but there is another small fracture not picked up before, basically the tendon and bone have a slight break between them. So it's feet up time for a while longer.
