My project trucks engine has kept just slightly revving when cold and on tick over since I got it on the road. However now it's got a whole lot worse, wife came home from work yesterday so engine was hot and it was doing it then.

Am I right in thinking it's no 1 injector?

How can I confirm that's what it is?

Cheers

maybe someone messed with the adjustment screw on the pedal before you got it :nenau

Whole host of things can cause this, but air in the fuel is the very first to check out, Mav96 has a valid point re the pedal but adjustment screws were sealed at the factory with yellow paint, look to see if they have been moved, internally to the pump are springs that apparently fail, but cost to repair is far too much, have you cleaned the MAF? safe to do on a Zexel (cotton buds in spirit) banjo filter is another to check, Rick

Cheers Rick, I'll try and take a look over the weekend but I'm on a course for the new job next week and have some pre course learning. Think I'll see if i can put some clear pipe on fuel lines around the filter.
