I am trying to fit a reverse camera to interface with the Sat Nav screen. Cheapest so far is £600 fitted!! You can buy the interface unit from nav-tv uk for £250, would fit it myself if I could figure out how to remove the unit from the dashboard to access the cable which fits to the back of the screen. Bright ideas anyone?

a few members are into electronics, no doubt they will assist you later.:thumb2

Complete reversing camera kit with 7" Super thin Colour LCD Monitor. Metal CCD camera with 153 degree wide angle lens & 18 LED lights for night vision.
Control box allows for up to 3 video sources to be connected (additional cameras or DVD etc) and allows cameras to be switched to mirror image mode. 12 & 24v operation - a single power source powers everything.
Can be set up to automatically switch on upon selection of reverse gear. Video out allows connection of additional monitor or recording via a DVR or VCR.
The RC07 comes compete complete with 20m of cable in a single piece perfect for motorhomes and non-articulated trucks.
This wired reversing kit is more reliable than the wireless models as it is not prone to interference from other wireless signals in the vicinity.
Upgrade to split-cable, allowing de-coupling, perfect for caravans or articulated vehicles.

Save your money:sly
Just reverse till you feel a bump, then stop:naughty
Cheap as chips:cool:

My Patrol is a 2005 SVE with the factory 'Birdview' sat nav. I had a test drive in a Pathfinder with the same system and that had a camera which automaticly used the sat nav screen when in reverse, so it should be possible.

Hi ya Robereed

Ok you need to remove the cd/radio unit to see if you have a free Yelow RCA input lead follow the directions

On the main centre fascia you have the heater control just above the dials you will find 2 screws remove these
Then give the cd/heated surround a sharp tug it's healed by 2 clips on the upper part just above the radio unit
Once removed you will find the CD unit held in a cage assembly removed by 4 further screws
