My rev. light won't work, I've changed the blown bulb but there is no power. Is there a fuse hidden somewhere I don't know about as those in both fuse boxes appear Ok? All other lights are working. Any advice appreciated as I can't make sense of the wiring diagrams.

Coincidentally (?) the ign. switch started playing up so, thanks to info off here, I've changed that without too much drama, though a fair bit of cursing happened along the way. Also the washer pump has seen fit to start making a noise but not supply any water! A new one required, yet again, methinks (are these made from marshmallow?).

They say things come in three's so hopefully I've had my share for now LOL.

Not so sure about a 2004 but previous models did not have a specific Rev light fuse, so most likely the switch on the box, Rick

I have spare ignition switches and washer pumps in stock if you need parts, drop me a PM

Thanks for the offer but I've carried a spare ign. switch for 3 years after warning on here that they are suspect. The washer pump cost me £15 from local car spares. Old one makes a noise & impeller spins but no flow....again, LOL. Think it's the weird diaphram between the outlets, don't know what it does but it's getting the blame anyway.

Mick,

According to the diagram the output for the reversing light comes from the selector.

Oddly, my 3.0 Manual has just given the same problem. Looks like I have to find the gearbox switch.

Have you checked the wiring and bulb holder in the rear light unit?
These are a weak point as all the crap builds up on the back of the lights and things start to corrode.
Also if i recall correctly the fuse is labelled as eng cont on the fusebox under the dashboard.

After buying a pair of 18W LED lights off ebay for £9, I proceeded to fit them & wire them up. Switched the ign. on & selected reverse.......nothing happened: no surprise there then, but there must be a live feed as the rear view camera works OK. Stripped out the rear light & went to remove the newly replaced bulb....guess what the light now works! I suspect loose bulb holder connections but it's of no consequence now as my new lights are a revelation. For the first time since I bought my Terrano I can ACTUALLY see what's behind me LOL. At least it wasn't the gearbox switch at 3 x the price!

Next job is to stop the water leak from the new windscreen washer pump....will it never end? At least my new towbar (flange type) is better than the old Binks one, there's much more room for the hitch to engage so I'm gaining, slowly......
