dash did strange thing other night, knew had quarter tank of fuel.

fuel light low came on, then watched fuel needle go slowly to full, light stayed on.

caught speed needle coming down from max to zero, was stationary, not sure if went
up then down or right around.....

switched off and on, fuel gauge corrected, but light on so brimmed tank to make sure
wasn't going to run out.

noticed rev counter dead with needle at bottom, below zero.

fuel light cleared, speedo fine, rev counter still dead.

help.

How does wiring loom connect on to the back of the speedo on later trucks? Could it be mucky connection.

mine does this when it gets warm, also loose the speedo and display.
I know mine is the solder joints but its just one of them things iv'e never got round to sorting out.

As Elty said solder dry joints on the PCB in the dash unit, remove the whole lot, strip it down and re solder all of the joints on the PCB, Rick
