Were there grease nipples on the originals?

What about the new ones?

I think the key to success on this one, is do as Rick says, bash the cups in slightly to allow the circlips to come out first.:thumb2

I shall remember that one if ever I have to do the same.
Actually this inspires me with more confidence as I have never done one before.:thumb2

Good tip too re jacking the rear up, to stop the gear box oil leaking when you withdraw the shaft from the rear of the box.:thumb2

best regards,

Rustic

Also, when pressing out the first cup, don't push so far that the other cup falls into the middle of the yoke.....

No grease nipples on the originals

The key to removing the Circlips is to hit them round with a drill tip or a punch or something just to free them up and then a decent pair of Circlip pliers to get them out. And nice vice and some old sockets do the trick nicely

Yeah we had that with the first one and we just couldn't push it back through square so we ended up angle grinding it out :doh
