replacement keys

i need a couple of spare keys for my 1997 tdi but not sure if i can just get one cut or if i will need to get one from nissan as ive been told they have a transponder in them which is coded to the nats system:nenauany ideas.

you will need one that can code car keys. most do.

still no wiser:nenau
i have red master key and 3 fobs for the alarm.
programming the fobs was no problem,all 3 work the central locking no problems.its the key that i want to find out about.can i just have one cut or does it need to be programmed?
bound to be a way to do it on the cheap somewhere.
