Replacement Key

I seem to have lost my only key for the Terrano.

ANyone know if I can just order one from Nissan using the Chassis Number?

Its a 2000Y model Mk3 with the plipper built into the key.

Any idea how much?


Alternately anyone got a lock set for sale and can I get a different key coded to my ECU - breaking in isn't too much of a problem have done that before.

i had a replacement done by a small key cutters who had the gear to code the key! but he needed the original! you might be able to get a key cut to match the barrel by a locksmiths but unsure about the programing! nissan will be able to have a key done for you from the chassis no aslong as not had any barrels/locks changed in the passed as the data base rarelly gets updated with new numbers!! i had one done for the better halfs micra 54 plate, but it did cost!!! worth a phone call tho!

if you can get in and take the door or ignition barrel off the code is on them pref the ignition :thumbs

think there was someone doing chipped keys if you can prove ownership. not sure of the risk involved though :augie
