Hi peeps....

Need to remove the lower dash under the steering wheel this weekend to get the fuse panel out. Anyone know if it is easy??? Need the fuse panel out to try and fix me wipers (se previous threads on that problem), want to check wiring etc and look for the elusive 'wiper amp' as shown on the wiring diagrams !!!

yup, only a few screws, then just unclips, had to remove mine a few times.

Its been a while since I took mine off but the facelift is slightly different, with one or two 'hidden' screws....just take it easy and don't go yanking the bloody thing and you should discover their location easily.

Many moons since I had mine off.... but heres a pic of a MKIII section from the rear....

Carefully unplug the electic mirrors etc

If you study the pic you can see:
2 screws at the bottom
1 at side where door closes
1 screw above your switches
2 screws at top
1 screw at other side

You will then carefully need to unclip it

Good pic...and whatever you do DON'T take the mirror switch apart...little widgets fly EVERYWHERE! and they are £40+ to replace from the dealers!

easy

yes very easy..... once you remove the ones hided under shock and mirror switch it's all easy.....

Coming from someone who removed the entire dash.. you would think it easy!

Well done on that matrix swap though..:thumbs
