Whats the tips and tricks guys?

My drivers cam free and has been re-indexed fine, the passengers has a lot of adjustment so I just tweaked the adjustment, it got everything level but after the car has settled I'm still a few cm out and I'm fully adjusted.

The problem is my Torsion Bar is jammed and seized in on the splines and I cannot get it free I've tried every trick in the book but don't want to resort to heat as it weakens the bars

I've even tried using a G Clamp between the chassis and the "fork" that the bolt goes through to try and prize it off the splines that way and it's jammed good :doh

This doesn't really need messing with according to Rick as the truck is level but this is just the OCD in me and plus I'd like to get this freed now so that when I have to have the clutch done I don't get an BS from the company fitting it

I used a flat ended punch on the edge of the adjuster, right by the bar, and knocked it with a hammer. I think the jarring helps to shake them free. In your case, a bit of flooding with penetrating oil for a few days up front, just to work some magic can only help.

Having said that, so far, I have never had one come out at the front.

A pneumatic hammer might get it out.

That standard kit to have knocking around a workshop? We got a big commercial garage at work with 4 poster ramps etc that look after the fleet vans, you reckon they'd have one?

What about an SDS hammer drill, set with rotostop, either use a blunt SDS chisel or hammer a piece of scrap steel placed on the part you want to loosen...
Never tried it...
Or try an air chisel again, onto some scrap.
But just a thought...

Yes, Should be there. Basically a air chisel but I am sure you can get flat ends or even fashion one.

Surely the mechanics there know what to do??

just make sure that the groove for the circlip on the adjuster is not catching the crossmember.
you can hammer all day long and get no where if it is.
I tapped a screwdriver in between the adjuster and crossmember to make sure it stayed clear and bobs your uncle it flew off(literally:lol)

Already clocked that and did that exact trick with the screwdriver

This is rust welded!!!

Have exactly the same problem (see one of my previous posts). Let us know if you found a solution :)
