So my centre exhaust box has been rotting for some time. Seems like after that horrid greenlane in devon she's been blowing more. And it seems it's starting to sheer at the top rear of the box. Is there a way to bypass this? A bit of pipe or a kit?

What is the function of the box? :thumb2

I don't know, But could it add to back pressure in the engine, I know some engines run better with this.

I found running no downpipe for a few days caused the MAF to play up and I was getting funny readings because there was no back pressure

no boxes at all on mine not even the little silencer at the back end, sounds very grrrrr :lol

All engines need some back pressure to run right but turbo charged engines get nearly all of their back pressure from the turbo the rest is made up from the length of the exhaust. Now a LWB T2 has a nice long exhaust so you should be ok but not sure how loud it'll be with the centre box removed as that's the one that quietens the system down but if to loud for you you could fit something like a cherry bomb centre section which would quieten it down some & cause a little more back pressure if that's needed

I thought back pressure is a petrol thing .
Diesel turbo engine will be fine with no zorst at all, but a little loud.
Tuning wise, modded exhausts have a separate dump pipe to relive any pressure at the back of the turbo.

Hmmm, ok, I think my next step is to see of the exhaust is completely straight in that section, if it is I will try and find a same diameter section of straight cut pipe and ask one of the techs to weld.

Is there a set diameter for the exhausts?

Thanks y'all :lol
