Remote locking or not

Hi everyone,I'm new to the club and hope someone can help? I have just bought a 1997 terrano 2 and want to know if it has remote central locking.when I bought the truck it only came with one key,the type with the red transponder.so is there any way to tell if it is equiped with remote capability.I realy hope one of you can help.cheers Richie

if it has a chip in the key then it has remote locking, just get a primera fob of ebay and on the list here is the info on programming it, Rick

my 97 t2 was pretty much entry level SR had electric windows.

look for a nats sticker on front side windows.

id say as a 97 and mk2 bonnet scoop and twin headlights yes
would be standard.

as a heads up the alarm horn is mounted in the off side rear
body panel, forward of the fuel filler.

i have had 2 T2's with chipped keys and nats - neither had factory fitted remote locking! The only way to do it that i can see is to get working fob and have a go at programming it in, if it wont work you don't have remote locking.

The dealer may be able to tell you using your chassis number :thumb2
