Got one or two little problems on my new motor. First is one of the remote keys has stopped unlocking and locking. So replaced battery but still not working so I'm guessing it'll need reprogramming in a similar way as my old key fob did. Does anyone know how to reprogram please. It's the square headed key with the two square buttons.

Thanks

When I got my truck, it only had 1 key, I bought a new fob from Nissan, so I had the correct chip, I got a blade off ebay and had that cut. I'm sure I did the reprogramming using the downloads on here and it worked a treat

Have to say that I haven't tried the downloads instructions but the instructions are for the older type of separate fob with the two semi circle buttons. Mine is the later type with the buttons in the plastic handle of the keys. Not going to do much playing until weekend so that I have the daylight to work in.

on my 2002 T2 I only changed battery, it did not need re coding did both keys new button tops from ebay I Wrote the down load for re programing. Along time ago 2004 when I first joined. sounds like your 2005 could be another newer fob change.

JIm, the downloads section worked for my 03 plate, so itll be the same for yours :thumbs

Sounds like you have the same key as me and the download instructions worked for me. The only thing that I struggled with was that I was being quite deliberate and slowish with the three lock button presses. Turns out that you need to do them quite rapidly for it to work (hit them quickly in frustration and bingo)

Good luck.

Jim, mine is a 2005 with the same key as you, it works :thumb2

Hi,

I'm having the same issue with my spare key. So this guide is very helpful thanks! just to confirm a few things though,if I try this with my spare I also have to do this with the other key too? I can't just do one key.

I tried putting a new battery in the key & this made no difference at all,so with a little google work I found that I may need to reprogram. As I understand it from your guide, you can only do this 4 times, but the trouble is I dont know if this has already been done in the past,so what happens if I do the spare & thats fine & have not yet done the other key too? Does that key end up not working again?

Thank you in advance for any help!:thumb2

No limit on the amount of times you can do it mate, I think there is just a limit on the amount of keys you can have paired with the ECU

I'd enter the learning sequence and try and reprogram both keys with new batteries in each, are you 100% that your fobs are the 433MHz frequency? As there are other identical Nissan fobs on the market that operate the 418MHz frequency

Oh bum it ain't fixed it but I can tell it's reprogramming the working key.

It did work before wife got her hands on it.

So replaced the battery with a brand new one. Checked battery connections and all ok. Switches are not loose. Any ideas? Might be hello cnc do you have one?

Thank you for the reply Banshee:thumb2

Sad news is that it still does not work, unlocks manually, starts up etc, but it will not reprogram no matter how much I try!

Nissan main dealer quoted me £250 for a new one & to program it!!!!

Trying to source a new key fob & then program it myself. Thanks again for the help folks.
