Hi everyone,
Ok the remote needs re-setting.I have the auto data print out and i have replaced the batteries in the remote.
What i need to know is what the buttons on my remote do.Which is the lock button and which is the unlock button ?

Here it is....

Black is Lock and Red is unlock. If you check the downloads section from the Quick links menu there is a workshop on reprogramming these and it's dead easy.

Sorry JT, but its other way around, on mine can see padlock in locked mode on red,
guess red is to lock also emergency lock as can use when inside car.

generally fob works from about 50-75 feet away, also once unlocked, doesnt then lock
automatically like our previous daewoo nubira did - it gave you about 27 seconds then
locked again assuming you weren't getting to car., ie changed mind and walked back -
handy if then fob was out of range.

another trick with t2 is, dont let anyone try to use door release from outside as you are
pressing black to open otherwise stays locked, presum to avoid aliens getting aboard.

if this lockout occurs you have press open again.

Yes tried it and managed-according to flashes to recode the fob.But fob doesnt work on locking. Locking car still sets it.
I'm now back to...when i unlock the car with the key the hazards flash until i turn the ignition on. Rather than risk me messing the alarm/ immobiliser up i'll leave it as it is for now.Or let husband (mechanic) have a play with it when he isn't fiddling with his motorbikes !
By the way,the interior sensor switch ,behind the steering column...what does that do and when ? How do you use it ?
Thanks
Kay

Kay if you press that sensor switch once BEFORE locking the vehicle with central locking, it disables the interior motion sensors (mounted inside, either side just behind rear opening windows).

Useful if you want to park and lock up on a ferry for example (lots of motion!), or leave windows cracked (breeze can set alarm off otherwise) or, in extreme cases, if you need to leave your dogs/kids locked in car FOR VERY SHORT PERIODS ONLY! :):)

you should NEVER leave KIDS or DOGS in the car, ever, not no way not now how!

Is the fob the original as there are two different frequencys used and you have to be very accurte when recoding the fobs see the download some times it takes a couple of attempts to get it right.

Zippy- I NEVER leave my dogs in the car ! In fact i'm one of those people that get really upset and angry at people who do !
Kids in the car......thankfully they've flown the nest.Just me hubby the dogs and guinea pigs....oh and his motorbikes !

Terranokid- i have no idea if the fob is the origional it looks old enough to be..Will let husband try next time...if i mess it up i'll never hear the end of it...but it's ok if he does!!!

Guess what....i had a frozen lock this morning..ended up using the hair dryer to defrost it,started engine up to defrost window...luckily through habit, lowered the window.Came back to the car to go to work and the car had locked itself ,i think it locked itself as i unlocked it...due to frozen parts i expect. Managed to get my hand in the window to get the keys- phew thank god for common sense !
