Ok the truck is getting back into shape,:thumbs The new wings are on and all the fittings. But do i replace the plastic inside the wing and the engine rubber that stops the engine getting dirty or is it best to leave them off, as it will be better for cleaning all the crap out after laning :naughty.?

What do you think?

I leave mine off, Or I'd be taking them on and off all the time.

My engine got just as dirty with them on

If u leave them off make sure u give the inside of the arches and body a good wax oil was u gonna get some extra crud round there

If you've got diesel and are offroading , bin 'em :thumb2
Makes life much easier fixing stuff in the woods and as Fez says the engine bay will get just as cruddy with them
Easier to clean the mud off properly too, if you're that way inclined :lol

Buzz, they had 2 (Count em) Two good thick coats of underseal with drying time inbetween.
I have refitted the trim and thats got a good coat of Bitch under it too, i think i could park the front end under water now and still be rust free, :lol

Ok, im going to leave them off as i can jet wash the crap out better that way like you said guys.

Also put a good coat of stone chip down both sills and 3" on the doors.

Thats still drying though, hope it dont rain.:doh

just need to clean the rest of the truck to match the wings then :lol:eek::naughty

they were probably put there for a reason, to keep the shite out !

ssteve

It doesnt work then :lol
Probably fine for keeping road shite out but off road, pah.

the fan still kicks the mud/water into the engine bay.

I have no inner wing plastic engine bay cover trims, but I just pressure wash there once a week anyway. The ones on the front at the top i put back on, but only after I removed my outer wings to underseal everywhere, so as its all sealed inside the plastic can only help keep some crap out but it's sealed anyway

If anyone can actually decipher that jibberish, lol
