My registration number is 3 letters followed by 4 digits,
Why?:nenau

Could be a private plate that has been left on the motor

Yup it has a z in it must be Irish would have thought it would say something on v5

It just means when it was first registered, it was done in Northern Ireland, but once it has been sold on 2 times, the previous owner will not show, and as it still comes under DVLA, it makes no difference where it was registered, as unlike Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of man, you do not need to re-register them when you bring them into the UK.

I was surprised than when my company put personalised plates on the cars, the log book did not show that it had changed either.

The car needn't have been to Ireland, you can buy these registration numbers from a lot of places, even DVLC.

BIL 1234, BAZ 1234, or OIL 1234 are common place.

Just some people trying to hide the age of the vehicle.
My Mav is so old, you still need someone walking in front with a red flag...:lol:lol

If you have an easy to remember reg No. it just makes it easy for some **** to target it, if you once happened to cut them up...:confused:

:lolRustic me too when my Patrol is on the road:doh:(

Do we have any Irish club members, who actually live in Ireland ??
