Have heard good things about the Miller diesel additive, meant to be well worth using.

Mine seems to run better (on the few times I use diesel :D ) on Bio Diesel from Morrisons. No idea wht but it does seem to :nenau always seems to run worse on Asda diesel, again no idea why :nenau

I use the millers regularly. Started when I got the car and I wanted to make sure it was all ok. I was talking to our local motor factor and he was saying lots of the high miler taxis use it before MOT because its so good at cleaning the system out.

Following Pauls comments about acetone, Jockeys about gummed up piston rings and what have you I now put a drop in with each svo fill. Defintinely seems to help. Seemed smoother (it is supposed to raise the cetane) and if it cleans.

Shop carefully for it though, £10.95 at Halfords  £7 at our local shop :thumb2

Morrisons Bio diesel is a con.

Its B05 ie 5% bio content the rest is ordinary dino. All diesel in the UK and europe now contains 2.5% bio content minimum - so why pay the extra for B05, as whenever I see it its more tan the normal deisel.

Fair comment if Morris' have gone up to B30 - 30% bio content btw - when I last looked at the pump it wasn't.

Still can't see why it costs more than dino though. Though I don't think mixed fuels get the same duty breaks as pure bio.

totally agree; when they're probably recycling chip fat from their caffs its a bit of a cheek! LOL Having said that, its a bit unclear to me whether this is true biodiesel thats been processed with the usual chemicals etc.., or just the addition of 30% SVO....I'm assuming its the former?:nenau

Theyre not more expensive (exactly the same) only reason I first used it is because all the other pumps were busy.

The Bio they use round here is from the same bulk storage delivered by the same haulier as the rest ;) from bulk store (I think production as well) to the pump I buy it from is about 10-11 miles :thumb2

If its a con I suspect some of the other retailers are playing the same game, possibly by omission rather than misleading but just the same :augie

Quick heads up to anyone who uses Redex or would like to try it. Morrisons are selling 500ml for £3.95 (tagged as 500ml for the price of 250ml). I presume that's cheap is it not? Bought a couple this evening so will see how it works for me.
