I have today been mainly transplanting some LR lights onto me mav:augie
Wanted some rear work lights and better reverse lights, so did this:cool:

I've cut the existing rear lights with 95mm hole cutter and glued in some Defender lights:D
There's some detail pics to go on that there photobucket when I get a mo;)

Like that idea!! mind if I nick your idea abit..:D

Go for it no worries here mate:thumbs
Was trying to get some skinny rect. ones to put in my rear roof spoiler but no joy.
What you got in mind?

Hella do/did some the same as those but flat will have alookie and show you the link.:thumb2

One thing to note might be best to add some reflectors else where on the back as the boy's in blue won't like it:augie

There's quite a bit of relector remaining, not so obvious from pic. I guess plod will have fun sucking their teeth over it all the same though:augie
I've got work to do on the bumper next so will see what happens there.
Any idea if there is a minimum area of reflector to satisfy the politzia:eek:

You've made a nice job of that Mate. I take it they're Defender lamps ? Are thay wired seperately to the original reversing light, or instead of the original ? Shame you can't get a LHD rear bumper cluster and then have two fog lamps !

Lee. :thumbs

I think the Mistral has the lights the other way round:nenau
So it could be done:cool:But my lights are the tinted ones, so a job to match
Just wired on their own at the mo:naughty

Couldnt you just spray your lower clusters with that 'tint spray' to make 'em BLACK... then re-wire the reverse light to make it a fog????

I used to use it in my 'boy racer' days.... spray it, let it dry... buff with T-Cut, repeat to go darker... might be a little fiddly though with the plastic bits inbetween each light

Here is the rear work/reversing light i have been working on

that it fully lowerd with the spare wheel mounted

At full height without spare can rotate 360deg to light rear of patrol when doors are both open
also CB mounting plate included

Hey cool idea:thumbs
I've got an old hand held spot light / search light I had on a boat:cool:
Its got dip and search beam and toggles on the side and a handle on the back. Now you've given me another idea:cool:
Top job mate:D
