hi all
i found a rear work light in the shed today that i bought a while back to put on my disco but never did so i've made up a bracket to fit it to the mav on the spare whee carrier and will have it on tomorrow. was wondering the best way to wire it up, i want to put a switch next to the handbrake in the empty switch cover where i think heated seat controlls would be and need an in line fuse to protect the circut but thats as far as i've thought ....any ideas anyone?

My Terrano has a cigarrete lighter in the 'boot'. It seems like it would be a good heavy duty circuit?

Regards

Alan

i did a thread on just this thing, added two sockets to teh boot area.

both with engin on. going to add a live one all teh time when i get time..

wire it into you reversing light circuit, I have two small spots below the tow bar, they work for reversing and connecting the caravan. Or you could plug it into your towing socket, if you have one. regards bri

But if he wants a work light, I assume he wants to have it on when the engine is off.....:thumbs

If you have the 12s socket (white) pin 4 is permanent live bri

If you want a quick easy fuse holder, try a couple of spade terminals and a blade fuse with a little insulation tape for good measure.:thumbs

PS I'm just waiting for that idea to be pulled to bitz:nenau

I had the same idea earlier in the year per live feed
swithch by the gear stick plus on on the light it self
also mounted the CB aerial there as well,

Hi dave, wheres the pics with out the wheel on, so we can see how its fitted,

and where did you get the pole from?

hi ya zippy pic 3 is with out the wheel can you not see it
the base part is made from 20mm steel and then there is a 15mm round tube in side with a thumb screw to lock lift and lower.
Custom made out of some old scrap steel sitting around
