My driver side rear window has started to leak, and collects water at the bottom of rubber seal on the inside where the window pivots (mines a swb).

Are there any drain points that might be blocked (dont have a sunroof or aything) by the drivers door.
Or is it simply a case of getting a new window seal fitted -is it easy or does any one know the price or part number?

Richard

Check the window clip catch thing is properly snapped closed. They can wander open a bit, specially if you've just been offroading and a shakin' it all about abit :sly

No its not leaking by the window clip thing, I've tried tighting that already, it leaking the other side, by the B pillar.
Any other ideas

Will try and edit my first post to make it a bit clearer.

I'm not suggesting the leak is there, just the clip doesnt always snap shut.
You colud try a nice smear of vasaline on your rubber :naughty
Also I think there's a s/s hinge at the leading edge of the glass. Have a spy there and make sure all's well :thumbs

I can bet you money its the door rubber :augie :thumbs

Both mine leak, I havn't looked at it yet. Last resort is vasaline.

The door rubber does make sense as it stops at the top by the hinge for the window.
Is it easy to replace - part number and I will get one bought

Silicone will do it :thumbs

I think its a case over time the rubber looses alot of its size. So the window is not tight enough against the rubber.

OK going to sound a dumb ass question but what the heck, but where abouts for the silicon (sealer ?) on the doors seals ?
At the back of the rubber seal where it get pressed against the body when the door is shut - or ??

Take the rubber off & apply the silicone & then put the rubber back on & let dry. Then apply a thin bead along the rubber & let dry.

Done it to mine & no more leaks :thumbs
