rear wheel arch pannels.

my swb is just starting to bubble under the plastic trim on the rear wheel arches..it will be an easy fix ,i know. But....can we get rear wheel arch pannels to do the job right ?:nenau

Only panels I have found are front wings & door skins, for some reason never even seen sills which knowing the way they rot would sell well.:nenau

mine were the same so i took off the plastic arches got the grinder on the rust(taking care not to grind past where the plastic trim fits)masked the top of the panel off and blasted them with under body shultz.when i re-fitted the arches i sealed them to the panel with sikaflex sealer to try and stop moisture from getting back in.

i was having a shower room fitted' not in the maverick' at home & the guy was using some paint on ,wet room, waterproof sealer!

it goes on like a paint, & sets in a rubber sheet, where it applied ..wow..

i repaired the arches & sealed them with this rubber stuff , under the pannels, on top & any where its not spoiling the look of the paint, soliddddddd !!

its superb as a undersealer..just make sure the area you do is totally clean & rust free, or you will seal in the rubbish & damp !!:thumbs

Paints on easy, dries overnight, waterproof even when wet ,will waterproof terracotta waste pipes for those in very old properties.

Seem to recall in the back of my mind somewhere an old post, where a member had fitted sills off a Fiesta, - Can anyone else remember it, or am I losing the plot.

just searched sills, found the post from member Rsaddo, would post it up if knew how to. Said used sills off a mk 3 fiesta at £13 each.
thought I was losing it for a min

Like whats been said pattern sills are not avalible nissan wanted nearly 200 quid a side so i used fiesta sills 13 quid for two bargain :wink:

Yes - when you reply to a mail, there is the ABC button (like on MS Word) towards the top right.

Click on that and download.

It obviously works - Zippy's spelling is much better
