Finally getting towards the end of my MOT list before I go for it, but one problem annoying the fook out of me!! Rear washer don't work. Although I can hear motor working no water reaches the rear. I have took hose off in back door to see if water is reaching the sprayer but nothing! Fronts work fine and back did but not now!! Where is the pump situated? I take it , it is in the wing but what do I have to remove to access it? I have looked in the manual but cant find any info on it apart from wipers which are working correctly. I remember on my old Mav it had 2 pumps on reservoir, is this the case on TDi?
Any guidance appreciated.

Mine has gone kaput, I hear the motor working but only get a trickle of spray from one nozzle, think I'm going to have to get it off somehow and unclog it

Not sure on the pump location, but this might help, I have a large syringe I use for all sorts of odd jobs on the car, and when mine was playing up on another car, I put the syringe on the end of the pipe at the jet end, and used it to create a vacuum to suck the fluid through the pipe, there was a big glob of jelly like stuff, and after that, it ran fine.

I've heard of the rear one blocking up before. I'm sure there is a one way valve that goes faulty but can't remember if it's just inside tailgate apperture or inside the tailgate frame it's self.

The pump if it is like mine and Clivvy's was is behind the osf wing. You can't get at in situ, you have to either remove tank or remove wing. The tank has captive bolts that go through inner wing, think they also mount a relay box on some of them too. There is one pump that works for both front and back.

Often the front jets block too, I use a can of pressurised air bought from ebay or maplins. Blow the jet from the outside so the muck comes out the way it came but the tube will need removing too, same goes for back.

you will have to check the pump. I believe for that car, its one pump, so its likely the pipe has come off at the pump end. You have to remove the wing to get to it, drivers side.....

Front spray working fine, so with one pump on reservoir would that mean just one pipe? If so cant be that as fronts are fine!!

A car I had years ago, can't remember what it was, had one pump - turned one direction for front washers and the other direction for rear, so two pipes.

Yep thats how round headlight terrano works. Most likely the pipe is blocked

its one pump, two pipes. Removing the wing reveals the pump slotted into the washer bottle. Both pipes lead out along the bottle and into the engine bay....if you do remove the wing, be very careful with the bolts-some of mine sheared.

.

yes there is a one way walve located in the top of the rear door, mine was blocked so just removed it, the water takes a few seconds to pump up the pipe, but no more worries
