An extra 5 watts probably not noticeable mind .
Also remember all these "mods" will screw your chance of incurance quotes without two commas in the price :doh
they don't really bother with the looks hence the reason boy-racers fit crystal units, i know someone who's done a lot of mods 'not mechanics' and he's not had any problems with insurance, he just doesn't have the lights etc covered
