rear light surrounds

The plastic rear light surrounds on my Terrano are a grey plastic material, I am not sure iof they are supposed to be grey or have just faded from black.
I think they would look much better black so I tried some bumper black on them and it had no effect at all.
So what colour are they supposed to be? and anyone managed to get theirs black?

Try a bit of peanut butter on them , see if the oil will bring back the black.
OR just paint the buggers

I used a plastic dye off of Ebay, mine are nice and black now, been like it for over a year, I will have a look in my garage for the name

OK, it's called; Restore 2 black, bumper and trim reconditioner and it's from company called Autobright.
