is that a real risk? always felt these trucks were fairly high stepping to
start with, plus with side steps and towbar surely these will ground
first??

mind I leave towbar on to better protect fuel tank...

a standard t2 against a standard disco these usually come up trumps (my partner has a standard disco) there is however a 1.5" clearance differance on the diff so u just welly it :sly T2 out do the disco on a climb, tight spaces and sinking ground we do have nearly a ton in weight differance.

i keep my towbar on but the socket constantly gets bent :doh side steps(or a bar on mine) come in handy for rocks :clap

Nice btw

I've just re-routed the electrics on my tow bar after they got bashed. I'm experimenting with keeping the socket inside the car unless it's needed. Means the cable gets crushed in the door seal, but trailer use is so occasional that it should be ok. A relative of mine has been doing this for years because he was fed up with the electrics either rusting up or going wrong.

As for vs a Disco, I find the front end is the problem. That big sump guard and an inflexible front suspension mean a bit of welly is required (which is a pain if you have to stop for gates etc...)

i was thinking of putting mine in the bumper?

yeah i have went 2 go up a step like bit n it just stops:lol sump guard came off ages ago n hasn't been put back on yet :doh the front suspension i haven't came across a problem with yet, well unless u count balancing on 3 or 2 wheels :sly:naughty

fortunately up here we don't have to deal with gate as we are on site :thumb2 no green laning allowed up here :(

I've had my t2 on 3 wheels and the flex is amazing. I thought it had been modded by the previous owner :lol

Christ my typos are bad, this is what it should say:rolleyes:

been trimmed down so large rock and things dont hit it, i'll put L**d R***r style mud flaps on at the back to stay legal.

don't want to be a killjoy, but is your insurance happy with mods? :nenau

I tie my electrics up on top of chassis in nsr 1/4 where they come from, when I bolt tow bar back on they just untie and drop back down

ref elecs unbolt from bar stick in a plastic bag and
shove up behind numberplate/tank/chassis.

on old t2 had 12 n replaced with a fly lead.

still cant see what it achieves Ryan, though well done for having guts
to attack bumper.

seem to have a hook arrangement of light clusters and from fb pix
the exhaust is still down there on nearside?
