rear Door problem

Hi

Got home last night from the Mid Wales Rally stages and found out my back door will not open you can hear the motor turning but the catch will not come up when it does as soon as you go to open the door it goes down. Need to get the panel off but as I can not open the door, There lies the problem. Any ideas can I by-pass the electric motor and open it manualy?
Need to sort as MOT due at end of this week.

I had a similar problem with my son's SWB. I took the door card off and found that a small metal rod had come unclipped. I just snapped it back on and the door was back to normal. Getting the door card off was the most difficult but with care I got it off without any damage except to some of the white press studs although I had a spares so was not too concerned. Hope this helps

Open it from inside THEN take the door card off

I sometimes get the same problem and it care,nt be opened from the inside manually the only way I managed it was to sit in the back with keys and pliers and operate the central locking, when I press unlock I also pull up on the catch with the pliers, can take a few goes but usually managed to do it, then it works again with no problems, I,ll have to have a look at it one day, maybe.

Managed to sort it got at the catch from the inside and managed to get the door open.
Had a look no obvious problems so good spray with some WD 40. All seems OK.
