Rear diff

hi I have a 2008 navara d40 with a rear oil leak at the rear diff oil seal. I removed the rear prop shaft and went to remove the nut holding the flange on but the nut is murder tight i have tried a 1/2 airgun and a long bar but with no luck. has anybody had this problem before or would anybody have any ideas on how to remove this nut

could try shock freeing it with a hammer or use some heat maybe

most people including garages use a hammer and chisel, half inch air gun is like using a watch screwdriver to remove a #2 posi drive screw, Rick
