MOT failed:

Both sides rear coils top mounting brackets, are these 503800F000 and 503810F000 the correct parts and is it worth ordering the rubbers, 550340F000 as well?

Advisory:

Fuel Lines, do I need to use genuine 175062X400 and 175102X400, how easy is it to get the clips?

Future Plan:

How to obtain new sills for a SWB?

I did a similar repair less than a year ago on a mates T2 it has full pic sequence, have a search for it, Rick

Checked your thread, the corrosion is on the bracket itself not the chassis. I covered welding during my apprenticeship (almost 50 years ago ) I understand the theory and what is possible but have never had the requirement to put theory into practice. I appreciate a good job and hate paying for work I can do myself, unfortunately in this case I have to use a local garage which will do the weld but minimum fabrication. Hence I have to supply the brackets:doh.

I have used Amayama in the past but in this case I will try https://nissangenuine.com/

I am now retired and treat Terri as my hobby project (keeps me out of the pub:D, actually my wife keeps me out of the pub). Having driven the T2 for many years, nothing else out there can compete, I aim to keep Terri at least another 25 years (belching diesel fumes, a proper car).

All hail you metal bashers and welders :bow.

Driving in the mud gets your tyres dirty and ruins the carpets :thumbs

WORK - When the fun stops STOP

Experience - what you get just after you needed it.

Ouch!

Have ordered, both brackets and rubbers and post £220. This is an MOT fail and there are not the same number of enthusiasts down here in W Cornwall, case of needs must.

Not a bad price to be honest, Someone on FB was selling ones he fabbed himself but no idea if he still is.

Others have used C channel to bridge the chassis and the coils lay in the channel.

Off thread but did you get your Troll sorted?
