Rear cig lighter socket live

Hi guys, has anyone got the factory fitted lighter socket in the boot?

Found out today that mines live all the time, odd as I expected it to be switched with the ignition.

It's the 05 plate by the way

Yes Jim the socket is live all of the time & so is the one for the back seats in the centre console I think. TBH I wish it wasn't as i've forgot to unplug our coolbox a few times:doh

easy enough to wire it to go off with ign or permanent live.

I may end up adding a relay into the system so it only comes on with the ignition:augie

my front and rear are on the ignition and the centre one is live all the time:nenau

Hehe just have to remember but kind of handy. The to do list is to sort some live and switched feeds to the back but these are not a priority at the moment.

its fine for me, we only stop for emergency kids poop stops. fridge is cool enough.... nice night time lamp can be plumbed in to save noise when work means we have to turn up late on site etc

On my 2001 model, the one in the dash, the one in the centre console and the one in the boot are all switched and are only live with ACC or IGN on. When the key is off they are all dead.

Why do you need to alter it, what are you using?

I use alsorts of stuff besides the usual cool box chargers there's radio equipment for one but doubt the factory socket would have enough cahoonas.
