Anyone got some advice about changing the rear links please.

Are they under tension when weight of the truck is on them?

Would appreciate any tips.

No, not under tension Jim - easypeasy job to change them (did mine a couple of months ago).

Very easy to do, although jacking the truck up will make it easier by far as you will have more space to work in. Always use axle stands!

That being said, I found it easier to just cut mine off when replacing them instead of trying to undo 17 years of rust on the bolts.

sounds like it should be a doddle on Saturday, Jim. I will bring my tools and ill bring my impact driver as well - thatll shift the bolts no problem.....:thumbs

Yep. Exactly how I done mine. Cut the old ones off with a cutting disc in an angle grinder is the easiest way. Didn't need to lift it either... But I am only little.

+1 can only agree, cutting is the only way they will come off if they have been on a long time. :thumbs

Cool Clivvy sounds like it'll be a nice easy job. When I did front ones years and years ago I ended up juggling with two jacks to get the tension right on the roll bar.

If truck is on level ground there shouldn't be any tension. I'm with Alex bin it I have and so much more travel
