Radio Wiring

Hello, Had a '96 Maverick for about 6 months without radio but Santa has been very kind this year. Unfortunately, when I removed the blanking panel expecting to see the standard connector, I found that whoever removed the original radio had made a total dog's breakfast of it and all i have is a mess of wires. I have tried the logical and circuit testing but can only blow the fuses for the interior lights and clock. Can anyone help with a wiring diagram please
