Welcome to the forum.

There is section dedicated to technical problems, separated by vehicles.

You should post your questions there and not in the "I'm new here, please be gentle" section.

Welcome mate, I've moved your thread into the right section now :thumb2

Not sure about the Navara's to be honest mate, hopefully someone will be along soon to help. The headunits don't have an internal fuse do they?

Lets see some picture of the old girl :thumb2

No Radio issue

Okay you have stated that you hit a problem replacing an aftermarket radio to try to resolve your issue remotely so as to speak I think some background is required as most electrical problems can be difficult to diagnose at the best of times.

Firstly did the existing after market radio work at all - if it did work how was it wired - did it come on with the ignition in the aux position and with the ignition on?

How did you check the fuses visually or with an AVO meter? Are there any other components that use the same fuse or is it dedicated for the Radio only? Have you checked if there is power to the fuse holder itself - non original in line fuse holders can cause problems by just not working?

Have you access to a wiring diagram in order to follow the wiring continuity. Have you done any other electrical work before the Radio job that might have caused an issue.

My Jeep has an issue where in the winter the horn blows randomly for a couple of minutes several times a week. I took out the Horn fuse and this stopped the nearside front indicator from working ? I put the horn fuse back so instead removed the Horn relay - indicators now work. This is obviously an earthing issue as I fixed it last year by cleaning up some odd earth wires that go into the fuse box. I only mention this as electrical issues on modern vehicles can be an absolute nightmare so you have to start with basics. Have you done any work in the steering column area?
