Bit of a strange one here, I've tried searching online for solutions but can't seem to find any other than going to the dealership.
I got some fuel earlier, the radio was working fine when I pulled into the station, when I left the radio just says 'wait' on the screen for about five minutes then changes to 'secure'.
Can't find any way of putting a code in and none of the buttons work. Tried turning ignition off and on again but then was out of ideas. Anyone heard of this happening before?
I work in the woods so the truck does get bashed around a fair bit, is there a chance I've just loosened something?
Cheers

Sounds like it's lost power may be when restarting if battery is low. What ever it's locked out by the sounds of it. If you have a car audio repairs place near you they might be able to recode it if you don't fancy a trip to dealers. Have you not got the code?

Cheers for the response. I have got the code but I can't put it in. It just either says wait or secure and there no other options.
It had a new battery about six weeks ago and this happened just after driving for an hour and a half so it shouldn't have been low.
Seems like it might be a trip to the dealers at the weekend

Panic over. Just tried the ignition again out of frustration and it's working again. Weird.

Glad your sorted but a very odd thing to happen. I suspect you may have a loose connection. Check your battery terminals as they tend to suffer metal fatigue.

Thanks jims-terrano, I'll check in the morning

Bad connection woes

Just a thought but as there will be a permanent power supply to the radio (for stored stations etc)as well as the ignition supply for on/off if you have trouble with not being able to enter a code then you need to disconnect the earth at the battery for a minute or so then re-connect.

That should enable a screen where you can enter a code. If this connection is not good could cause problems same as the supply from the ignition. Just a thought.

Welcome mate :thumb2

Glad you got it sorted, post some pics up of your truck mate, I've got a van as well on 33's :naughty Link to my project thread in my sig below with plenty pics, always nice to see another van

Can only get a couple of my pics up. Id bloody love to get mine with half the kit yours has banshee. I never seem to see any other terrano vans around so its nice seeing one properly done. A lift is definitely next on my to do list, mine got a fair bit of abuse this winter at work and I think a couple of inches higher would be enough to keep me out of the worst of it.

Mate, I don't have much money and all the work has been done on my drive at home in snow, wind and rain and mostly the dark, the only jobs that were done inside was the re-fitting of my front diff after swapping it for one with a LOKKA in and the Snorkel in my mates garage.

There's word of a late summer Wales trip, you should come along mate, I can show you whatever you want and offer you some advice :thumb2

Nice to see another commercial around, stick around matey, nice pics btw, what's the tax on yours?

I'd definitely be up for the Wales trip. One of the estates I work on lets a 4x4 club use the forest tracks so I could always ask there for you. I always get a chuckle out of seeing the guys faces in hugely modified defenders when they get a mile or so down the trails and find us sat in my Terrano having lunch.

I'm always keen for a bit of advice. Haven't been very active on here because every problem I've come across so far has been covered so well on the forum in the past. The tax on mine is £19.68 a month.

Ah that's decent mate, wouldn't mind some forest tracks that's a bit different not done that before :thumb2 What bit of Wales you in pal? If you're close enough could even do a day before the big meet :naughty

Sweet, you still in the cheap tax band then :clap

I'm from around the Brecon/Abergavenny area. I've moved to Gloucestershire now but still work over there a fair bit.
