Just got my hands on a very clean 63k X plated Sport LE...

Having read up on the air mass meter issues these more-likely-than-not these tend have, I'm going to give it a careful clean with some isopropanol and check its output voltages before I go any further.

That said it feels pretty lively as is, and sprints upto an indicated 80 without too much bother. However I will be towing a box trailer and abit more grunt would be nice.

There is a faint grey haze of smoke under hard acceloration as is.

I'm going to hook up a boost gauge to see where its running at before I begin, does anyone know what the factory boost should be?

The plan was to hike the boost alittle by tweaking the wastegate rod (or BCV), say by 3-5psi.

I am guessing that with a working AMM the ecu will compensate with alittle more fuel?- As it doesn't look like the ECU has the ability to read boost via a MAP sensor??

Going to see how it goes, then probably suppliment it with a diesel-bob box, maybe even a front mount intercooler.

Anyone have any comments / experiences???

(I am very familiar with turbo-diesels and turbos as a whole, so quite aware of how and what and why etc)

Tim..

Can't answer your technical queries, someone else probably will though!

However I've got a PSI Powerbox fitted, similar to the Dieselbob set up, and found that smoke under acceleration worsened until I fitted a K&N panel filter in place of standard.
