Disco will have been a combination of tyres and the fact the terrain response system in them (I'm guessing it's a Disco 3) can't handle soggy and soft grass terrain :doh :lol

In fairness to Land Rover I believe the system they fit now doesn't have that problem...

My Mum got stuck in the Royal Highland Show carpark a couple years ago in my Step Dad's Rangie (same terrain response system) and had to get towed out by a tractor... I had got out about half an hour earlier in my old Shogun (no Trol at that point)...

Much p*** was taken :lol

Can't believe that disco :doh

Anyway I'm going to get a nice pack for my neck...

No they are just crap:lol the blue discovery was a disco 2 where LR had the great idea to do away with the centre diff lock & relied on the TC:doh The one I had, had the pin on the box just never got around to fitting the linkage to operate the diff lock but LR did away with it on the later models 01-02 onwards:augie

Nah, wrong brand of on-roader.

Not followed green oval scene for sometime, wonder how these things would cope
on the old Camel Trophy, that the marque was part of for so long, even LR's own G4
project.

disco 2 was a v8 was already stuck it over heated the disco 3 come tried to pull that got stuck so I pulĺed them both out him in the disco 3 was a wealthy man who came and shook my hand he owned the estate of the land we were on and said I think I should buy a nissan, the camper van what I pulled out he tried it first could not do it but I did it on the same ground with the same rope and did it first go

Didn't seem that difficult a terrain, level, ok wet grass can be a pain.
I have pulled empty 7.5 tonne flat beds through worse than that...:nenau

I have an ipad, so I can lock the view, so I don't have repetitive strain disorder.:thumb2
