I've a PSI on our T2. Got it and a K&N air filter off Jonathon on tis site. He said it's best to run the air filter with it to get the best possible performance.

They're so easy to fit, just disconnect a plug and socket then reconnect them to the male/female cables on the box. That's it.To run the car without it just disconnect the plugs from the box's cables and connect them back together. A 30sec job.

Are they good? Well, put it this way, I wouldn't drive a T2 without one now. They make that much of a difference. I also have a 08 Navara and the box pushes the T2's performance very close to that of the Nav. MPH goes up a bit too. In short it transforms the car from something tractor like to something, well, less tractor like ;-)

Id love to try one. see if its worth saving up for

I reckon it is :thumb2

Just done an 86 mile round trip , all motorway and it was great. Far more mid range power for swapping lanes, pulls better from low revs then gets to and sits easily at (or about ;) ) the speed limit.

To top it off I'm pretty sure I havent used as much fuel as normal over that distance but cant be sure about that one yet.

You will have used less, I meant to say more MPG not MPH, obviously you get more MPH, but fuel econ goes up too.

My Nav is very good for MPG, average 32 driving it normally, and it's all country lanes and town. Last weekend we took the Nav to our holiday home, I worked it out it used 20 litres each way, doing the same journey this weekend but in the T2, with a big kayak on the roof, so will monitor it and see what it returns.

BTW- I've been driving driving the T2 quite a bit this week for the first time in over a year and I forgot how much fun it was compared to the Nav. Not as fast or as quick, but much easier to throw around. Not that I do of course ;-)

Please to hear I can defo save fuel too Baskie :thumb2

Pictures:

Spot the extra connector ;) this bit took about 30 seconds

Pics have disappeared :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Anyway, what I came on to post was:

If anyone has followed the ramblings on here and is contemplating Tunit or Psi I can say do it :thumb2

Update on day to day use: I've just moved the caravan ie well laden, first time with the psi fitted.

What a difference. Bottom end grunt is massively increased and there isnt anything like the gear changing required.

I actually managed to pull out on a slight uphill slope at 50mph, accelerate to 60 and get past Horace and Doris in their little car with ease................. in 5th :thumb2

Gobsmacked and dead chuffed. And over the 45miles I've used less fuel :nenau

I know these trucks are rated at close to 3 ton , It now feels like it would hack that easily.

Zippy,,,,,,,,,get saving, worth it mate :thumb2
