Anyone thinking of spending c£500 on a professional waxoyling job, think again!! I have now used two different companies and the results have not been worth the cost. Indifferent coverage, lots of cleaning up to do afterwards and most of the five year claims rubbish. Do it yourself with an aerosol, and save £450!! Avoid a newer operator with outlets in Hertfordshire and Manchester at all costs....

"See You Coming " Springs to mind !!! Buy tin of waxoil @ £25.00 warm tin in bucket of hot water, if you have a small basic compressor Less than £120.00 which once bought is always handy, place heated waxoil in spray attachment, lay underneath and do it yourself, done mine several times piece of cake, you already got enough ground clearance, then in a couple of years you can do it again at cost of another Tin!!:thumb2

Did mine with a hand spray pump. thinned slightly with white spirit. i did it twice got covered in it. cost me £18.00 for a big tin had some left from my disco.when i removed fuel tank did that with spray cans.bitumined floor pan.

with you 100% plus on that.

I have a cheap electric spray gun from the sales in B&Q (does the fence too cos i cant be arsed to use a brush) was around £25

Then waxoyl & white spirit as required.

The difference buys a lot of beer :D

Interesting as I toyed with doing my R3mR earlier this year - a firm in Stoke -on-Trent. In the end due to spending money on replacing all the rear suspension bushes I used four aerosols of Waxoyl to get through the winter instead.

Will definitely do it myself even if it means my hair gets the Waxoyl treatment! lol

I used to do them when i worked at an independant garage, we used to charge around the £400 mark, I couldnt believe how many people actually used to have it done!!
