The battery on my 300C 3.0CRD Estate is showing signs of being past it's best before date.

I guess it is the original one from 2009 and its not holding its charge very well. Voltage after overnight rest is 12.1 volts falls to 10.9 - 11.1 volts when ignition is on and glow plugs heating.

I bought a Yuasa 5000 for the Jeep as at 100 Ah & 900 cca it was a good spec for the price with 5 year warranty.

Had a look on the Battery Megastore site and they show a Hankook 100 Ah 850 cca 4 yr warranty for £68.50 delivered anyone here tried this make ?

New Battery has arrived 950 cca !!

Well the new battery arrived today and it's labelled up by the Manufacturer Platin as 105 Ah with a creditable 950 cca not the 930 cca as advertised. Makes me happier as they appear to have reduced the price from £69 to £51.76 for 24 hours !

This morning there was a heavy frost and despite the Chrysler being in the garage it struggled to crank over and start.

Only got round to fitting new battery this evening !

That was the old Battery just fitted the new one tonight, had to start it with a Booster pack at work on the old one----just in time !

Cold snap battery deaths !

funny that a few frosts sort out dying batts dont it.

Sure does first the Jeep that stands outside had battery failure then the Chrysler that I always garage overnight started to struggle.

Mercedes is permanently on charge from the C-Tek in the winter, its an AGM technology battery that I put on her in the summer of 2014 the previous battery was on her in 2003 when we bought her so lasted 11 years plus.
