Anyone know the price I can expect for scrap lead/soldering lead per kg.

They are all in ingots and about 35kgs in total.

Got some at work from when we changed to lead free.

about a grand a ton on the open market, but this is Wales of course.:augie

thought it would be alot more, Can't understand why people steal it for just a few quid.

give it to the church for their church roof fund and ya might just get into heaven or at least answers to a couple of prayers.:lol

if theyll steal copper cable with 700v dc running through it from down side tracks, theyll steal anything lol

£1000 per ton, or in metric then about the same,
£1000 per tonne, ie 1000kg,

so £1 per kg then.
So you have £35 value.

But your soldering lead will probably have a percentage of tin as well, so maybe a little less.
And less if it contains flux.

If you want to make more money, buy a few fishing weight moulds, melt the lead in a suitable pan with an outdoor gas ring with plenty of ventilation... and sell sea fishing weights.

I thought the value was quite high on all scrap at the mo? I think lead must be because the thieving bastards have been out on a night near us

who can be arsed to strip the armouring off though, probibly the extra weight of that + the plasticks gonna make up difference!

thatd stink an smoke i bet,the old ford foundrys been tatted out and small fires found inside lol weve been noticing the side gates always skew whiff for weeks then happend one the lads new security guard who told us hordes of people roaming about ripping place to pieces!
