Stunned by the massive increase, £330 ish last year £440ish this year
I have made no claims and not fell foul of the boys in blue
I have 15 years NCD
Any suggestions for a better quote
Forgot to say I am 78 and do less than 5,000 a year
I have been with them for around 6 years, perhaps that is why:doh

get a better quote elsewhere then ask them to match it. Always worked for me.

or contact Dan directly on here, Again worked in my favour.

Fez could be right and yes because you have been with them for so long. Admiral multi car has been best for us for last two years but directline were better before that. Try NFU as they always seemed good for the first year for me. No company expects loyalty or gives a monkeys about loyalty, you’re expected to shop around basically.

I should say it worked every time when I was with them (6 years or so), Last year they would not match it but a quick word with Dan sorted that.

I wouldn't hesitate to go with AF again, Just currently without any vehicle right now. Their fully comp had all the extras standard, Windscreen cover, Third party cover driving over peoples cars, legal cover etc.

if dan can suddenley match it shows the price is over the top like a salesman coming to you door but,i will phone my boss, shop around and see other prices befor you decide to buy.

having issues with adrian flux got a quote for my serena with them yesterday took out policy after being quoted paper work has incorrect information on it prices are cheaper than the quoted but still want to charge for quote price asked for policy to start on the first they started it on the 29th so i rang to cancel it and they now want to charge me for two days cover when it was less than 24hrs and there fault got a new quote from another company and was a bit cheaper so will be going with new company this time plus it will take them up to 48hrs to sort out my cancellation to:eek:

I’ve never been impressed by them either, so much so that I will never even think to call them when renewals come around.
That said I do know some people don’t have a problem with them, mostly people with heavily modified motors too.

well just had a phone call and they have agreed to a full refund due to the information not being correct and starting policy early so my advise is check any paper work they send you as mine was so wrong it was unreal:thumb2

never had any issues with Flux myself but my policy is up for renewal at the end of next month so will see how things pan out.

Update

Dan was no help waffle about why price went up, similar script as the female on the phone plus a bit about drivers over 70 are a greater risk, I have been over 70 for 8 years so why now, in fact I was over 70 when I first got the Maverick

However Edward phoned me today and got me a better quote with the promise that if I found a lower price elsewhere they would match it:thumb2
The price is down to £375, so after a jump of 30% or so it is now down to around 15%, mostly Edward tells me because of the increase in compensation imposed by the government. That is fair enough the non driver taxpayer should not be burdened with costs run up by drivers

Thank you Edward:thumb2

Adrian Flux - our Terrano r3mR

I found Adrian Flux a bit of a life saver as my existing insurance company Saga would not cover us for an import and very few of the online companies would. After the first two years they got a bit pricey so I rang NFU they provided me with cover at a lower price, we are with them again for our Jeep.

Saga seem expensive for some vehicles have you tried the other company that look after us older ones - I think it is called Rias.

Has my renewal through from flux and it's as near as dam it the same price as last year so I will be staying with them.
Did my usual shopping around but nothing came close so I'm happy to carry on as I am:thumb2
