power steering

hi all,
just brought a petrol maverick and it squeals when the steering is on full lock?any ideas why? :?

I would check the P/S belts tension as it might be a bit slack or worn :roll: This may sound dumb but you have got plenty fluid in the system have'nt you :?

yeah all fluid levels at max,wheres the belt m8

Mines a TDI not a petrol but I would think the belt will be attached to the cooling fan & onto the P/S pump & there will be another one from the fan to the alternator :? If i'm wrong i'm sure Hummingbird or Mav will be able to correct me as they both have petrol Mavericks
