power steering

is it ok for my power steering to be really light one minute , and sorta normal the next ? , even on the same bit of road .... in fact even in the same position , fluid level is ok .

just been down to my local car accessory shop to buy some power steering fluid just in case ...... he handed me a bottle of atf .... he said it was the same stuff ...... surely not ? ......or is it ?:nenau

err sounds like could be, and its just brake fluid that differs?

hmm...doubt its the fluid. probably more the tyres/road surface. If the belt was slipping or too tight, the steering would judder.
