Hi Folks.

I have searched through my Terrano PDF workshop manual high and low and cannot find what switches the power antenna motor up and down. Is it controlled from the original factory fitted radio or some other unit.

I cont'd even know the powering sequence Does it power up when the ignition is switched on or when the NATS or TCU have done there checks?

Some of the wires from the original radio connectors have been cut but they are too small to carry the current of lifting and lowering the antenna so they must go to a relay.

Help please.

Thanks

the motor will power up via a relay when the radio is turned on, but what wire it is from the radio and where the relay is I do not know, Rick

aerial

Hi

I think that the aerial is powered from the stereo orange wirerspowered when the stereo is turned on via the ignition
Are u sure its the mptor as the teeth on the feed to the antenae shear or it can snap

The relay is wedged behind the drivers side kick panel and it's a see through/White colour. I took it out my 13 terrano as my electric aerial was snapped

that's the relay/ecu i took off mine. if you want it, just ask:thumb2

Hi are you sure this is a relay since it looks like a mounting card that the relay clips onto?

Thanks

Defiantly relay. If you look at the top, you can see the silver mounting card/plate. There is a multi pin conector on the bottom but it's not in the picture. The stereo sends this relay a signal and tells the relay to trigger, making the aerial go up or down. The set up is similar to an electric window
