Not as many shiney 'bits' though!!! :lol

I tow with both a SWB and a LWB... IMHO the LWB is better suited for towing big heavy things, longer wheel base means you dont bounce as much at the rear, slightly heavier... and a much better boot for fitting saddles etc etc in. :thumbs

you can always ADD them though :augie:augie:augie

i tow a caravan 22' long very easly with the LWB T2

check the wight of the trailer and horse.. might be better with the LWB.

though SWB are better off road for FUN..

I'll 2nd that :thumb2
Mine toes cars/trailers ok (1200kgs)
But when i went to help a mate who had broke down in a long wheel base loaded transit,it didn't like it :( But knowing me mate i was pro ably towing close on 3500kgs  :augie

the only trouble Ive had towing was when the MAF died..

had to stop half way up a hill. then only way to move was in LOW 4WD for the last 20 miles home...

I am in Dorset - only 40 miles from Whitchurch.
I would prefer a derv - more torque.

I have messaged him anyway.
Good spot, cheers.

It's up for under £1700.

I'm a haggler buying cars. I reckon that's way over. I agree its a buyers market.

I only paid a grand more than that for a good nick fully specced 02 all original with service last August from a dealer :thumb2

Hard work but well well worth it.

Needed new tyres, had a "driveshaft clunk"....which turned out to be steering stops :augie:augie and the tow bar wiring wasnt fixed up. All that expensive work was reflected in the price reduction as I "reluctantly" accepted the car as it was :lol:lol

Imho its well worth going into every garage you can be arsed or is practical and tell em what your after :thumb2 a lot of s/h places & dealers are terrified of being stuck with 4wd's

Find 2 or 3 and play them off against each other :thumb2

Good luck

Are you just making this up - the rear shocks aren't even under the arch they are on the chassis about 12" in from the arch.

LMAO :lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol

Just looked at the autotrader ad again, its nice but I'd offer them a grand to kick off and wouldnt go much more than that ;)

What van do you tow?

I was horrified the first time I hitched our current one up, the van is 26ft and the whole thing looks bloody massive. Soon get used to it though, goes superbly :thumb2
