Hello All question from newb
Just picked up a 54 plate Terrano sve 49 k at good money, a few years ago I had a 2.7td Terrano,I don’t remember my old terrano handing like a hippo in a shopping trolley, the new SVE go’s like a train and is actually quite difficult to keep under the 30 mph speed limit…but the ride is like being on a boat…lots of roll almost feels unsafe, just had 2 new tyres and tracking done and this stopped the steering wheel shaking…but the rolling and pitching is bad for a modern 4x4, has any one had any luck “calming the handling down…any mods that would help with the ride or handing,no noise from the drop links and car only done 300 miles since MOT.. any advise would be great…thanks

Worth checking the front ride height - though a 4 year old shouldn't have sagged that much - they ride and handle a lot better when sat level as they should be.

Hello Doyleywood and welcome

Has to be something do with suspension,

Are your shockers and springs ok?. does it seem soft and bounce alot?

Mav.

My 1st port of call would be to have a close look at the shockers, then the anti roll bar links

poor ride

have you checked the tyre pressures ?or have you just forgot how much fun it is driving a t2.i have a lwb and i can throw it around a bit before it feels un safe.

When I 1st got my T2 the ride was crap, changed shocks to ES9000's and it was like a new car

I've now got a Trol and guess what its getting some ES9000's  and some new springs

New shocks really do make a difference to the handling.

I remember when it was recommended you changed shocks every 20000miles. People now think if there not leaking there ok, which in not the case.
