Hi all, sorry to be a pain, but I am just your average thicky trying to understand the posts I am reading. What for instance is a MAF? Can someone please explain.
Cheers,
Mally:confused:

hey Mally!

MAF is Mass Air Flow (sensor). MOST cars have them, and they are located between the air filter housing, and the engine air intake, and they usually have a wire and conenctor attached. They measure the air that enters the air intake, and send a signal to the ecu based on the temperature of the air, this then affects fueling etc, so, a bad MAF, will cause poor running.

Many thanks Clivvy for that. I can usually work most things out but definitely not this one lol.
Cheers, thanks again
