Hi Guys, sorry I been away for so long. Had life style problems to deal with.:(

Anyway, as some of you may know I got a new truck at the backend of last year (Misty Blue, Nissan Terrano) to replace The Beast my ford maverick with. I got most of the work done to her but failed to have a really good look at the rot on the front end. Well its worse that I though and the best option is to replace the whole front end.
If any one has a shell the are scraping or breaking one I really need a front end.
Don't need the wings or any of the bolt on bits just the front part of the shell from around the canter of the front wheels including the front chaise bolt fixings. my plan is to cut and shut it onto mine. Failing this it looks like misty will go to the great grave yard in the sky.
Someone show me some love and help me out with this, a shell is only scrap value.:naughty

Pm cncfabs hell have all the bits you need, and loads yu dont know youll need

I've got very good front end from early terrano
1993 square headlight will be slightly different around headlights and also cross member where bonnet fits but think I've got them from round headlight model should be able to make something up

is really that bad?
only thought it was the front x member you where replacing.
done quite a bit of welding on mine over the last year or so.
it seemed like a new hole every week:eek:

Yes Elty, on inspection the whole of the front fixing mount is rotten.
To stop and more messing about with it I think a new front is the best way to go, although not sure my welder is up to it. lol

I don't know how different they will be, do you have any photos so I can match it up and see. also a price if you will delivered to Mansfield area.

I had to replace the front x member and front body mounts on my old one.
once I had stripped evey thing out of the way it wasn't a big of a job as I was expecting.
I made the body mounts up before I welded them onto the chassis.
replaced the x member with a length of 40x80 box section.just had to weld the rad mounts onto it.
plated up the inner wings while I was in there with the welder aswell.

Its very easy to cut and shut new front end sold several its just a matter of cutting through the thinnest part of the inner arch about 12" weld and 2 bolts on body mounting 30 minute job to cut out 1hour welding

Yes didnt have time for any pics.Front panel around headlights is different as is the slam panel above the rad.Only other differences couple of holes one of which is for washer bottle .If your panel is good around the headlights it should be fine although bit more work to do than originaly thought.Do you have any pics of your rot so we can see best way forward

I might have the chance of a terrano shortly.
All depends on what the guy is asking.
I only want engine and a few spares.dont know what the body is like.
Just waiting for a guy at work to find out what he is asking.
If reasonable I will have a look and see what the front end is like.

It is all bottom end that's gone. Everything above 6" is good strong steel. but like you said a lot more work. I will get some pics tomorrow

Elty, when will you find out matey. Im in no mad rush but just want to get it sorted now, lol

Albert Looms breakers in Derby did have a Terrano in a few weeks ago, I plated the front body mounts and made a new rad mount for mine earlier this year, it's nice knowing these bits will outlast the vehicle.

you dont fancy doing mine do you ? As its them thats gone, just looks a bit to much for me to try.

nicedeals.co.uk show a complete front panel on the web for about £130.it might help you.

If you look in my gallery i had to do some rather major front end welding (and sills, and boot floor, and inn/outer wheel arches)

Rather than buying new panels, i made some out of sheet steel. Only any good if you know a welder/fabricator with free time tho...

Not a bad job once you get the rotten bits out, it all comes apart pretty easily, or in my case, falls apart.....
