Many thanks for the generous donations here.

I have now transferred the money raised, £140, to Richard (Thomas-the-Terrano2).

That looks amazing Zac, thanks again.

Just an update on the collection, my local florist couldnt arrange transfer of
flowers to the Funeral Director, I considered Interflora but did seem pricey
for what was on offer.

I then spoke to a lady at Farmer & Sons, the funeral directors who kindly
agreed to arrange the flowers with their florist. Further was impressed at how
much we had raised but felt would be excessive to speed it all on flowers.

The suggestion was spend £40 on flowers and the rest to the family towards
the funeral expenses. This was cleared by the FD with Kerry, Chris' widow.
As Paul, Bat21 had suggested something similar when he transferred the funds
too me so I trust this is OK with all those that kindly contributed.

I'm all set to attend tomorrow, should anyone be able to join Pete/Briggie and
myself, please not dress code is casual.

11am Gornal Crematorium, Dudley.

Thanks again folks, so proud to be associated with such a friendly caring Club.

Top job all round :thumb2

I spoke to Katie earlier and she was keen for me to ask round on the forum if anyone wants to but Chris' car

I think it would be brilliant if we could keep it within the club as it's an immaculate motor and Katie said that the wouldn't want much for it

If anyone is interested it is a 2004 LWB 2.7TDi Terrano II in Emerald Green

I'll try and get some pics ASAP as Katie has told me to come back and take some to advertise on the forum.

Very nice card and a great effort from you guys. Im sure his family will find some comfort knowing how loved he was and by how many:thumb2

As noted the Undertaker charged us £40 for the flowers, the remaining £100
given to Chris' widow Kerry towards his memorial. I do hope all that contributed
are ok with this plan. Nice to think that most of our gift will become part of a
permanent feature in his memory, long after the flowers have withered.

Good bye Chris RIP, never forgotten.

Sounds like Chris/Plank had a great send off.

Well done Richard and Pete for making it to his funeral and making sure our collection was used wisely, thank you both.

And thank you to Banshee (Zac) for sorting the card.

RIP Chris, I will raise a glass to you shortly sir

Looks like he had a grand send off, now before we all forget his T2 is up for sale, is anyone interested, be nice to keep it in the club so to speak, Rick

:rose Felt quite emotional just reading the card. Although I never met him or even spoke to him I feel I know him through his books - sometimes it seems that the best go the soonest. RIP Plank. :rose

Heartfelt and genuine thanks to those who attended and apologies for not being there myself. Hope the send off was everything Plank would have wanted. RIP.

Great job on the flowers guys :thumb2

As already mentioned, Chris' Terrano is now For Sale, let me know if anyone is interested as I'll be getting this advertised on the forum on behalf of his daughter Katie

Would be awesome if we could keep it within the Forum, it would be a part of Chris that lived on with us :rose
