I won't be attending but send my condolences and all involved will be in my thoughts.

Unfortunatley I won't be able to make it Briggie but If possible could you pass on our condolences from all on this forum as he will be missed by us all.:(.
Understandably this may be awkward so please don't feel pressured

How about this for an idea.

Is someone that is going prepared to buy a card. Then everyone either posts publicly on here what they want to write in the card or sends as a PM to the person with the card. That person then copies and pastes into a word document, prints it off and places inside the card. Write something appropriate in the card from the N4x4OC. His family will know how well he was liked and respected, may give them a little comfort.

Sorry easy for me to say it as I can't go so obviously rules me out unless I can help collating and creating the word doc.

Your thoughts guys?

shortly ttt2 or myself will post details of the funeral director , where flowers can be sent prior to the funeral , along with the details of the funeral .

whoever is collecting for flowers etc .... I will donate £20

Geez, not been on here for a while, had my head down at work too much - now Plank's gone. Totally saddening news, never met him, but chatted by PM a number of times and I enjoyed both his books.

Selfishly, I really hope the third one can be finished off later on.

Anyone who hasn't bought a copy, get out there and buy them - they're a great read, full of Plank's humour.

Banshee is going to collate messages of sympathy from those already in this thread.

Please pm him any as need to get the completed card/booklet to the family before the
funeral next Thursday 13th March.

We also have a collection via the Club's paypal account for flowers, see other Plank thread.

If you haven't already please comment guys as I'm going to fetch the card after work and compile all of the messages in here tonight and get them stuck in

I've been trying to become at one with the search feature and look for some info on a few things such as a suitable bike carrier that will attach to my back wheel etc and I'm utterly stunned at how many times Plank popped up and how useful his info was, so many times I've clicked on a thread and someone has asked a question and noone knows the answer then Plank came along and boxed it off with one sentence!!!! Truly an Oracle and if he didn't know he always knew of a way round it
